Background

Dave was born and raised in Northern New Jersey where he attended college at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, majoring in Biomedical and Chemical Engineering.  Dave’s senior research thesis titled, “Allograft Healing of Canine Forelimbs”, was conducted with Dr. Joseph Benevenia from the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, at the University of Medical and Dentistry of New Jersey.  Dave also went on to receive his master’s from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Biomedical Engineering and Material Science.  He conducted his master’s thesis research with Dr. Roumiana Petrova from the Department of Chemistry and Material Science. 

Dave worked for Ethicon, a Johnson & Johnson company, in the Performance Evaluations group located in Somerville , NJ , for four years.  While at Ethicon, Dave characterized medical device design, efficacy, performance, and supported pre-clinical and clinical trials.

Despite being born and raised in New Jersey , Dave is a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan!
